WHAT & WHERE

The Mini Donut Half Marathon has 13.1 miles of the area’s most spectacular views! The start line for the half marathon is at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Riders Club Road in Onalaska, WI, (just past the Omni Center and near the Onalaska YMCA). After the start, runners follow the beautiful Great River State Trail and finish at the Historic Trempealeau Hotel in Trempealeau, WI. This is a timed event. ALL finishers receive a medal, a high quality technical event shirt, and additional race swag. There are also division awards


The 5K Honor Walk/Run begins at the Historic Trempealeau Hotel in Trempealeau, WI. Participants will walk or run 1.5 miles towards scenic Perrot State Park, then turn around and return another 1.5 miles to the Trempealeau Hotel for the finish. THE 5K IS A TIMED EVENT! ALL 5K finishers will receive a medal and a high quality technical event shirt. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners.

                    5K Run/Walk     10:00 am

Packet pickup is required for everyone who is registered for the Mini Donut Half Marathon or the 5K Honor Walk/Run. At packet pickup, you receive your race bib and your race shirt.

 

THERE IS NO PACKET PICKUP AVAILABLE ON RACE DAY! Please plan accordingly so we can start on time. If you cannot make it to packet pickup on Friday, be sure to make arrangements for a family member or friend to pick up your race bib and shirt.

PARKING & BUSES

We will have several aid stations along the route of the half marathon. 

Aid Station 1 offers water and will be at approximately mile marker 2.2. There will also be porta-potties available here.

This aid station is sponsored by the Friends & Family of Chad Kamrowski. 


Aid Station 2 offers water and will be approximately at mile marker 4.5.

This aid station is brought to you by Burn Bootcamp.


Aid Station 3 offers water, sports drink, and sports gel, and will be approximately at mile marker 6.6 near Lytle's Landing. There will also be pit toilets available here.

This aid station is sponsored by the Cody Wozney Family.

Aid Station 4 offers water and will be approximately at mile marker 9.1.

This aid station is brought to you by Mayo Clinic Behavioral Health. 

Aid Station 5 offers water & sports drink, and will be approximately at mile marker 11.

This aid station is sponsored by Goosebumps Run/Walk.

Aid Station 6 offers water & sports drink and will be approximately at mile marker 12.1.

This aid station is sponsored by Kevin's Legacy. 

Finish Line Aid Station will have water, Organic Valley chocolate milk, fruit, coffee, and of course....mini donuts!


This aid station is always sponsored by the Mike Olson Family. Mike was the owner of Oly's Mini Donuts and our half marathon was created in his honor.

 

Our friends at the La Crosse Suicide Prevention Initiative and Gundersen Health System also help out at the finish line. 

 

*Each Aid Station will also contain a First Aid Kit & there will be Medics along the course and at the finish line.

Inclement Weather Plan

In the event of inclement weather before the start of the Mini Donut Half Marathon or 5K, the Mini Donut Half Marathon Committee reserves the right to delay or cancel the event for the safety of the participants and volunteers. Please click here for the full Inclement Weather Plan.

Free parking is available near the start line of the half marathon in Onalaska. 

There will also be street parking available in Trempealeau for those of you who prefer to park there. 

We will provide several buses traveling from Trempealeau to Onalaska. The buses will depart from the finish line near the Trempealeau Hotel and will drop you off at the parking area in Onalaska. Buses will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a bus departing every hour on the hour.

BAG DROP

There will be a bag drop available for anyone running the half marathon. The bag drop will be located near the start line in Onalaska. Bag drop times will be from approximately 6:15 am to 6:50 am on race day.

 

We highly recommend you use your race packet bag for the bag drop. All bags must be picked up by 11:30 am at the finish line, which is outside of the Tremepeleau Hotel in Trempeleau. Please note that we are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or misplaced items.

POST RACE FUN!

JOIN US AFTER THE RACE FOR A CELEBRATION OF LIFE PARTY!
We have an awards ceremony, live music, food, photos, and more! 

 

Live music last year by the Driftless River Band!
 

Complimentary coffee (found at the finish line tables) available courtesy of Driftless Bike 'N' Bean  You must have your race bib or volunteer shirt on to receive free coffee.

 

Complimentary donuts and fruit provided by Reinhart Foods, (found at the finish line tables). You must have your race bib or volunteer shirt on to receive free donuts and fruit.

Complimentary milk for our half marathon runners courtesy of Organic Valley. (found at the finish line tables). You must have your race bib on to receive free chocolate milk.

Muddy Waters Bar next door gives out amazing drink specials to all runners and also has a Bloody Mary bar, food, and music available. Get a free drink with your race bib! (Inside Muddy Waters Bar...not at the finish line tables). You must have the coupon from your race bib to receive a free drink.

Food and drinks are also be available for purchase at the Historic Trempealeau Hotel
