WHAT & WHERE

The Mini Donut Half Marathon has 13.1 miles of the area’s most spectacular views! The start line for the half marathon is at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Riders Club Road in Onalaska, WI, (just past the Omni Center and near the Onalaska YMCA). After the start, runners follow the beautiful Great River State Trail for approximately 8 miles (just past Lytle's Landing) before turning around and finishing at Swarthout Park on Brice's Prairie.  This is a timed event. ALL finishers receive a medal, a high quality technical event shirt, and additional race swag. There are also division awards


The 5K Honor Walk/Run begins at Swarthout Park on Brice's Prairie near the finish line of the half marathon.  Participants will walk or run 1.5 miles towards the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife adn Fish Refuge Visitor Center, run the South Loop Trail and then back to Swarthout Park for the finish line. THE 5K IS A TIMED EVENT! ALL 5K finishers with a bib will receive a medal and a high quality technical event shirt. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners.

Start times: Half Marathon:  7:00 am

                    5K Run/Walk     10:00 am

106 Mason Street, Onalaska, WI 54650. 

 

Packet pickup is required for everyone who is registered for the Mini Donut Half Marathon or the 5K Honor Walk/Run. At packet pickup, you receive your race bib and your race shirt.

 

THERE IS NO PACKET PICKUP AVAILABLE ON RACE DAY! Please plan accordingly so we can start on time. If you cannot make it to packet pickup on Friday, be sure to make arrangements for a family member or friend to pick up your race bib and shirt.

PARKING & BUSES

We will have several aid stations along the route of the half marathon. UPDATE COMING SOON

Aid Station 1 offers water and will be at approximately mile marker 2.2. There will also be porta-potties available here.

This aid station is sponsored by the Friends & Family of Chad Kamrowski. 


Aid Station 2 offers water and will be approximately at mile marker 4.5.

This aid station is sponsored by The Fastenal Company.

Aid Station 3 offers water, sports drink, and sports gel, and will be approximately at mile marker 6.6 near Lytle's Landing. There will also be pit toilets available here.

This aid station is sponsored by the Cody Wozney Family.

Aid Station 4 offers water and will be approximately at mile marker 9.1.

Aid Station 5 offers water & sports drink and will be approximately at mile marker 12.1.



Finish Line Aid Station will have water, Organic Valley milk, fruit, coffee, and of course....mini donuts!  

This aid station is sponsored by The Crisis Team. All food is donated by Performance Foodservice. 

*Each Aid Station will also contain a First Aid Kit & there will be Medics along the course and at the finish line.

UPDATED - PLEASE READ

Free parking is available at the Onalaska Aquatic Center Parking Lot located across the street from the Omni Center and is 5 blocks from the start line of the half marathon in Onalaska. 

You may also park on the side streets around the start line area.  

 

There will be limited parking available at the finish line of the half marathon.  There will be street parking available around Swarthout Park.  

We will provide buses traveling from Swarthout Park back to Onalaska Aquatic Center. The buses will depart from the finish line near the Fred Funk Boat Landing and will drop you off at the parking area in Onalaska. Buses will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a bus departing every hour on the hour.

BAG DROP

There will be a bag drop available for anyone running the half marathon. The bag drop will be located near the start line in Onalaska. Bag drop times will be from approximately 6:15 am to 6:50 am on race day.

 

We highly recommend to use a plastic bag with your bib number clearly visible for the bag drop. All bags must be picked up by 11:30 am at the finish line, which is outside of the Trempealeau Hotel in Trempealeau. Please note that we are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or misplaced items.

Inclement Weather Plan

In the event of inclement weather before the start of the Mini Donut Half Marathon or 5K, the Mini Donut Half Marathon Committee reserves the right to delay or cancel the event for the safety of the participants and volunteers. Please click here for the full Inclement Weather Plan.
